BRO Recruitment 2026 : The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), working under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has officially released BRO Recruitment 2026 through Advertisement No. 01/2026. BRO Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
The Border Roads Organisation has fixed separate application fees for different categories of candidates. The fee payment must be completed online through the SBI Collect system mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process for BRO Recruitment 2026
The selection process for BRO GREF Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates must qualify at every stage to move forward in the recruitment process.
Written Examination
Applicants will first appear in a written examination based on the syllabus prescribed for the respective post.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Trade Test (TT)
Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for PET and Trade Test. These tests will check the physical fitness and practical skills of the applicants.
Medical Examination and Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates will undergo Primary Medical Examination (PME) along with document verification. Original certificates and documents will be checked at this stage.
Final Joining

BRO Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
According to the official notification, the minimum age required for all posts is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 27 years. Age relaxation rules for reserved categories will be applicable as per government norms.
BRO Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification and skill requirements before applying for any post. Details of the eligibility criteria are given below.
Draughtsman
Applicants must have passed 10+2 with Science stream and should possess either:
- A 2-year certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship or
- A 2-year National Trade Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil) along with 1 year of practical experience.
Hindi Typist
Candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board. They must also have a Hindi typing speed of 30 words per minute on a computer.
Store Keeper Technical (SKT)
Applicants should have passed 10+2 and must possess basic knowledge related to store keeping of engineering equipment or vehicles.
Operator Communication
Candidates must have passed Matriculation and should hold a Wireless Operator or Radio Mechanic Certificate from ITI or an equivalent defence qualification.
Operator Excavating Machinery (OEM)
Applicants must have passed Matriculation and should possess:
- A Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence or dozer/excavator licence with 6 months experience or
- Equivalent training in operator duties.
Electrician
Candidates must have passed Matriculation along with an Auto Electrician certificate from ITI. At least one year of experience or equivalent defence training is also required.
