UPSSSC Forest Guard Recruitment 2026: For candidates aiming to secure a government job in Uttar Pradesh, a fresh opportunity has arrived. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the notification for Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard recruitment under Advertisement No. 12 Exam 2026. This long-awaited vacancy will fill more than 700 posts across the state.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) from the Uttar Pradesh Board or any equivalent recognized board. Additionally, participation in UP PET 2025 is mandatory.
Age Limit:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 40 years as of July 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Level-02, ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will begin with shortlisting candidates based on their UP PET 2025 scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the main written examination. Those who perform well will proceed to further stages.
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 168 cm (General/OBC/SC), 160 cm (ST)
- Chest: 84 cm (General/OBC/SC), 82 cm (ST)
- Chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 152 cm (General/OBC/SC), 147 cm (ST)
- Weight: 45–58 kg
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who clear the written exam and physical standard test will appear for the physical efficiency test:
- Male Candidates: 25 km walk carrying 10 kg weight within 4 hours
- Female Candidates: 14 km walk within 4 hours
This test is qualifying in nature, and no extra marks will be awarded. Candidates who pass will undergo a medical examination.
Application Fee
All candidates, regardless of category (General, OBC, SC, ST), are required to pay an application fee of ₹25 at the initial stage. The main examination fee will only be applicable to those who are shortlisted.
